JAF in Czech Republic
More than just a chapter in a story of success
The world political events in Eastern Europe in the 1990s also had far-reaching economic consequences for the JAF group of companies. In 1992 we decided to establish a branch in Czechoslovakia (the division into the Czech Republic and Slovakia took place shortly afterwards). By 1998 there were three branches in Vlasim, Vyškov and Zamberk. Today there are already seven branches in carefully selected geographical locations, which provide excellent sales coverage for the country.
Using our regional strengths
Over the years JAF HOLZ has become a fixed variable in the wood trade in the Czech Republic, and one of the largest market participants. Our approach was tried and tested in the Czech Republic: in every market we decide to enter, we set ourselves up with local employees and national distribution networks. In addition, the product range – such as furniture fittings – is extended to take account of the target group and the specific key aspects of the country concerned. More than 300 employees and more than 31,000 m² of storage space are just two examples of figures that represent a unique story of success in just two decades.
